Happy New Year from the team at Patrick Day Home Gallery! To kick off the start of the year, we want to talk about interior design trends that we’re looking forward to in 2024. Three of these trends which made appearances in the later half of 2023 and seem to be trickling into 2024 as well as some more detailed elements that are gaining popularity in the design realm. 2024 TREND REPORT




BOLD COLORS

White walls and neutral furnishings are tried and true. However, bold colors have been making a comeback and we’re excited to see it. Adding in accents of strong and vibrant colors is an easy way to merge a trend into your existing home design. Colors can be brought in with throw pillows, wall art, or a statement piece of furniture. Bringing color into your space will help it feel more cozy and lived in and we can’t wait to see what colors people will be drawn to this year.






WALLPAPER

We’ve seen wallpaper and wallcoverings making their big comeback throughout 2023 and we know this design element will only continue to grow in popularity in 2024. Wallpaper being used in more places than just your walls is a trend we think we will be seeing this year. Utilizing wallpaper on ceilings and even doors to create more interest in a room is something we’re excited to see. There are endless possibilities with wallpaper which makes it a fun and personal decor element that can be customized to your liking.





MAXIMALIST DESIGNS

The past few years have been infused with a lot of neutral minimalist design choices and just like in fashion, everything comes back around. Designers and homeowners alike are looking to add more personality and character back into home design. Think vintage accents, eclectic gallery walls, and mismatched furniture. People are going to bring a bit more life back into their homes which means displaying their antique vase collection or incorporating furniture of different styles for a unique but intentional aesthetic. More is more with maximalist design so don’t be afraid to step outside of your design comfort zone and try something new.
